The second PAX vaporizer is easy to use. But it can take some getting used to. Simple things like removing the screen, changing temperature, cleaning, loading, and hitting have specific instructions for the best performance. I absoloutely love my pax2 have no desire to get a 3 , some people think it’s pricey but it’s 100 percent worth it , will never return to smoking. I’ll start with the good. The size of the unit is great. The battery life is incredible! I fully charged it on Saturday when I first got it. So far I have had roughly 15-20 sessions and still have one of the four battery leafs left. The battery seems to be much improved over the Pax.
To remove a PAX 2 screen, you'll need a small tool to fit into the holes on the sides of the screen. In Simon mode, the PAX 2 LED lights will give you a sequence to follow. Once the sequence ends, tilt the PAX 2 in the direction of the lit LED lights to copy its pattern. One of the number one PAX 2 problems we're asked about is removing the screen. It fits in their a little too snugly. Just take a needle (or something just as thin) and poke it into one of the holes on the side of the screen. Then prop the screen up and remove.The vapor it produces is smooth and comfortable, and definitely a little better than the original. There are 4 temperature settings with this one – levels 2 and 3 seem to provide the best experience in my opinion and at these temps the vapor never really gets harsh unless you draw longer than about 8 seconds.

This is why PAX 2 rules.The output of the adapter you use will affect how long the battery takes to charge. If you charge via USB through a computer for example you’re looking at about 3 hours to 100% charge. However, if you use a 2A wall adapter then charge time to 100% is reduced to about 2 hours. BONUS the old Pax charger will unplug from the base and plug into the new magnetic USB charging on the Pax 2. So you can charge the Pax 2 directly from the wall with your old Pax charger which is pretty cool. Pax 2 Accessories If you're looking for a portable vaporizer with advanced heating, the Crafty is the way to go. It's more adjustable and powerful than PAX 2. Charging PAX 2 can take between two and three hours depending on the power source. A wall outlet will charge the device faster than a car charger or computer via USB. So there are some notable differences between the PAX 2 and the older PAX device. Firstly it’s even smaller and lighter than the original, which was already pretty small. The PAX 2, despite being smaller, features a deeper and more high-tech oven. The PAX 2 comes with an improved battery life that lasts 30% longer, which is another great improvement, as the battery life was already very good on the original PAX.
When the PAX 2 is charging and the battery is at 0 to 24%, all the LED petals will glow off and on. When the battery is at 25% to 49%, the top left petal will glow solid. At 50% to 74%, the two top petals will glow solid. At 75% to 99%, the two topmost and the bottom right petals will glow solid. Our 4 Step Guide For Cleaning Your PAX 2 The Pax comes with an extra raised mouthpiece that is sort of similar to the original Pax. I’m not a big fan of it because it seems to get a little warm on the lips. Plus I really like the new flush design. No mouthpiece lube in this kit because you don’t need it! The standard mouthpiece is a flat mouthpiece with a tiny “air slot” that doesn’t really look like a mouthpiece at all. However, it works surprisingly well and has the benefit of being super super stealthy. If you hold the device up to your mouth to vape, no one would really have a clue what you are doing. It almost looks like you are chewing on your phone or iPod or something (not really sure who chews their phone lol). I think this really adds to the inconspicuousness of the PAX 2. The vaporizer is really easy to hide and not many people will know what it is, which makes it ideal for taking places and for having a stealthy vape. You also get another mouthpiece which resembles the one from the PAX 1, if you do not like the standard flat one. However, I found that the other protruding mouthpiece got a little bit warm, so I preferred the flat mouthpiece. It does come with a decent-sized bottle of ISO and some high-quality pipe cleaners that clean the vapor path. Just dip them in iso and clean the vapor path and you’re done. Very minimal compared to the older model. The PAX 2 is compact at 3.9" L x 1.2" W x 0.8" H, while the Firefly 2 is slightly larger at 5.1" L x 1.6" W x 1.0" H.
One thing that stood out to me on the aesthetics of the device, is that the PAX 2 no longer has that pop out mouthpiece, so I will be interested to see how the draw has been affected by this change. The new mouthpiece features lip sensing motion technology that optimizes power and temperature during use. It will be very interesting to see if this feature works well and provides for a good draw (Update* having received the device the kit also features a protruded mouthpiece which can be swapped with the standard flat one). I cleaned it thoroughly this morning. The mouthpiece was soaked in iso and cleaned well with a tip. I am going to use it over the next few days and see how it goes. maybe even switch the outpace to see if that has an improvement with the smell or draw resistance.There are two types of PAX users: those who sip, and those who rip. If you’re a sipper, the new model produces more vapor from a short ~2-4 second draw than the original, which is a bit above average. My wife is a sipper, and she was already happy using the original model, so she’s very happy with the new one (happy wife, happy life). Rippers will be pretty satisfied too, generally the longer you pull the more vapor you’ll get and it stays nice and smooth. Either way, drawing slowly is the key to great results.
