Also i have no idea where to start, im not expecting any thing bad under there but i want to do a good job. Diesel is slightly more available and has a higher molecular weight than kerosene so its slightly more protective in its own right, but it smells unpleasant and stings the eyes, so I prefer kerosene. White spirit would evaporate if one wanted to build up multiple sprayings, as would water. I have done a forum search and a number of people have said 'don't bother', while others have said 'use Dinitrol/Supertrol?'

To do a thorough home waxoyling will take a full day just spraying/painting and another 2 half days stripping out panels/carpets etc and reassembling. Compressor and parafin sprayer were used to spray in every hole, gap, opening and then to cover every surface...... We then inject via pressure sprayer to internal bodywork and chassis cavities. We will if required drill and bung cavities as required, only with you express permission for areas which have noSaying that the old Waxoyl on the chassis has done a reasonable job, but would rather spend a bit extra on something decent I think. Dinitrol and Supertrol are far better >> I use Supertrol and it is far easier to apply..Buy in bulk and it is much cheaper. I think you can do just as good a job as the pro's but it is horrible filthy and a lengthy process to get in all the seams, holes, doors bonnet boot etc and box sections. More recently, I've used motor oil, thinned with diesel or kerosene to the point where it can be sprayed with one of those cheapo trigger-action hand sprayers, though a proper cavity sprayer would probably be better.Wash all equipment thoroughly immediately after each application with white spirit to remove any residual Waxoyl; then clean thoroughly with hot, soapy water before storage I'm sure lots of you guys have done this job at some time in the past & I want to know from experience what is the best & most economical method of application. It also pinged the fuse for the lighting circuit, getting myself out of the underneath of the landy proved friutfull, in that I knew all the places that waxoil had “leaked”. Extended spray - Should be used when the standard nozzle just won't reach and when you need to spray a panel that's above you. Can also be used to spray around corners and over parts like exhausts and axles.
