One of the most alluring man scents ever created. This is my Spring 'night lounge' scent; my night lounge scents are in between date night & club scents. Alluring but sexy. It's almost TOO sexy and alluring to be a date scent- it has a pinch of that player bad boy vibe. I like to be more romantic with my scent on dates.

I haven't worn Code since 2011 because I had a girlfriend who really didn't think much of the tobacco note in the original scent, which I thought was barely noticeable. She was a fan of ADG and a dead ringer for a 28-year-old Sharon Stone, so she got her way, almost always, and I wore the ADG, a scent I've never come around to liking. That might have been a clue of what was to come. Oh well. No olive leaf, no star anise, no tobacco, no problem. The note breakdown doesn’t do the scent justice. This WILL make the edt obsolete. As a man that used code edt as a signature scent for YEARS, this is a 10/10 for me. After trying it today I get it. I can't describe it any better, there's an "animalistic" undertone here that's unpleasant, but it grows on you the more you smell it. Got a tester of this recently. Fresh, aromatic opening with some soapy tendencies. The mid is more soapy and clean and the base is mainly tonka bean with a clean musk. Reminds me of a brand of wet wipes but much more luxurious.At the 3 hour mark you are left with a toasty, warm, powdery vanilla and suede scent for the remainder of the it’s life that smells absolutely divine. I recently tried the new Armani code parfum and that was a baby powdery mess to my nose. This one is no different. They smell very similar. A lovely blend of lavender, tonka and suede... there's a really nice balance to this which makes it super classy and versatile, with none of the notes dominating the others. I also own and enjoy Absolu, but this is certainly less loud than that so I'm able to wear this on more occasions. I'd wear this at any time apart from the Summer personally - well worth at least a test for any man I'd say!

It would fit in pretty much any weather and occasion except very high heat or sports. I think it would be ideal for a slightly formal event. Like one where you wouldn't wear a full on suit but maybe a nice button-up or a blazer. Code EDP is a sensual fragrance, ideal for dates or romantic outings, or office work, because it is not intrusive either, also to be used in cool or cold weather, in autumn and winter it is an excellent option. It is a fragrance easy to like, for people who enjoy sweet and vanilla fragrances. Code EDP starts with a big salvo of freshness. It feels clean and reminiscent of a big name deodorant. This first sensation only lasts a few minutes though. Soon, the very distinct Code DNA comes through and the fragrance takes on a familiar fizzy cola aesthetic, like a root beer float. Spicy cola and vanilla ice cream. However, it strikes me as having made a compromise between being wild at heart yet also a reliable provider. It wouldn’t be my first choice, but I could see getting away with this Code at the office before losing the tie and hitting the town. And while it doesn’t project like an absolute monster, it’s got enough stamina to last all day and into the evening. The only downfall to Code EDP is projection and performance. Although, not bad...it's projection and performance is mediocre for being an EDP as Code EDP doesn't project off the skin enough and has somewhat of a thin feel --- but never feels fleeting. If these shortcomings were amped to perform like a true EDP. Code EDP would be a much better fragrance.Mens perfumes and my nose normally don't get along, but then there's Armani Code. Smells so wonderful, and it's such a well-blended perfume. Definitely a 'love' from me. To me this fragrance truly smells FANTASTIC! It’s been out since 2004 but isn’t dated at all and truly stands out in a world ruled by blue fragrances. Maybe it’s my skin chemistry but performance for me is approx 8 hours so no complaints here.

Code EDP is a certified. licensed, registered banger and contains the best elements of Code OG. With that said, Code EDP is an excellent summer evening or night fragrance but is also wearable in during cool/warm spring season as well. Code EDP will not cut through cold dry weather very well as one would like. I tried TWO different tester bottles and a full new bottle. Spent a solid two weeks TRYING to get any performance out of this.

i would rather smell like something nice but cheaper and actually smell like it, then buy this smell amazing only for it to fade so that noone around me can smell it lol.

An elegant and interesting scent, even though most of the listed notes are not uncommon. As a big fan of leather and tobacco scents, I can't say I've tried anything similar to Armani Code that came before it. They use the entire Olive tree in this perfume - from the leaves, to the flower, fruit and wood. The ingredients listed above are not correct. The initial impression is like bug spray, especially with that tonka vanilla-like base. It's a very sweet smelling Eau de Baygon - it makes bug spray smells delicious enough to drink.

Before the Bleu de Chanels, Sauvages, Dior Hommes, Laytons and Le Males, this was the king of modern mass appealing masculine scents.
