Amid all the controversy surrounding "Duck Dynasty," one of the last things people might have expected was another product line. According to CNN on Jan. 2, a "Duck Dynasty" guns line has been launched.
"Duck Dynasty" is a family show that promotes Christian values and hunting have launched this new product line to go with their later values. The family, who became rich by designing world class duck calls, have already begun production on the "Duck Dynasty" guns line.
They will sell nine different shotguns as well as a semiautomatic pistol and two different semiautomatic rifles.
The "Duck Dynasty" guns are part of the very successful Duck Commander business that Phil Robertson founded 40 years ago. While, Robertson has been in the news lately for crass comments he made towards homosexuality, it seems that the issues have passed the family by and no damage was caused by the comments.
Phil Robertson has a masters degree from Louisiana Tech and was a teacher for a number of years before he founded Duck Commander in the early 70s and built it into a worldwide phenomenon. While the "Duck Dynasty" television show is a new phenomenon, this family has been successful for years and there is little doubt these new guns won't be successful as well.
The "Duck Dynasty" guns come in a "waterfowl pattern" camouflage design.
