About this deal

Built from the underpinnings of Hitachi's high-quality pneumatic nail guns, the Hitachi 18V framing nailer is designed to handle like an air nailer, yet capable of delivering more than enough power to flush drive 3-1/2" framing nails with ease. After attending the University of Kansas, he began working full time in the trades and soon after, started his own company.

This repressurisation is little different to the repressurisation of a hydro pneumatic suspension system (e.Its equipped with Hitachi's unique Air Spring Drive System that delivers similar performance as a pneumatic nailer, but offers total cordless freedom. Nailing hand cut jack rafters and bird-mouth notches, where hoses are notorious for getting snagged, are where these nailers really shined. As a builder and remodeling contractor, there have been countless times when I go to a small job or to finish up punch-list items where it takes longer to get all the tools out of the trailer, than it does to do the work itself.

Those jobs can only be tackled by pneumatic nailers because gas nailers regardless of make or model (and I am talking about Paslode, Hitachi, Senco, Rawl and Hilti) all overheat somewhere around the 30 to 40 minute non-stop usage mark and then require 1 hour or more to cool down (to be honest, though, cordless nailers also get hot and drain batteries).

Outlets and voltage differ internationally and this product may require an adapter or converter for use in your destination. battery in just 75 minutes) and some safety goggles, all packed neatly in the HSC IV size 4 stackable carry case. There is a depth adjustment knob on the front so you can set the power of the nailer according to which size nails you are using and how far you want to drive them in.

If you're thinking of using this tool for longer periods particularly if you're using it to fire above your head you might want to consider the extra weight of this nailer over a pneumatic nailer which tend to be a bit lighter weight. The 4-1/2” hook swivels out of the way when not in use and can be mounted on either side to accommodate right and left-handed users. After a certain amount of time being on, but unused, the Hitachi Cordless Brad Nailer shuts itself off.Gas nailers, on the other hand require regularcstripping and cleaning - far more intervention, in fact, than the cordless nailers. I love this feature, because when I’m “in the zone,” I can definitely forget to shut it off, leaving me with a dead gun before lunchtime. Have fired around 4000 nails so far and only two misfires, both of which where related to the paper on the nails and not the gun, a quick push on the loader and it's back in action. To be able to switch between the two so effortlessly helped ease frustration for some and possibly dangerous results for others. Hitachi claims their cordless framing nailers can drive as many as 400 nails on a single charge with the included compact 3.

Part of the reason for the seemingly unending supply of battery power has to do with a battery-save feature that this nailer includes. This, in part, is thanks to Hitachi’s Air Spring Drive System, which uses permanently sealed compressed air to drive each nail - resulting in zero ramp up time, and driving speeds up to 2 nails per second. This is particularly useful if you have little ones around that you do not want to accidentally engage the nailer. We can, without hesitation, recommend this nailer to any framer or user that wants a portable, powerful nailer with a battery platform than doesn’t take an arm and leg in which to get invested.
