Jo Malone is releasing a new wood sage & sea salt cologne globally in September 2014, alongside a body care range. The scent is composed of ambrette seed, sea salt, sage, red algae and grapefruit. Our version of the popular wood sage & sea salt perfume oil contains top notes of sea salt, coconut water, salted ocean mist, middle notes of lavender, sage, lemonwood and base notes of driftwood, moss and amber. It’s paraben and phthalate free and commonly used for candles, potpourri, soap and skin/hair care.

This dupe line seems to be a bit of a mystery. Still, I was pretty intrigued by this Wood Sage & Sea Salt-inspired fragrance.

I’ve found with the Jo Malone version in the past, the scent fades and needs to be sprayed again. This can work out as expensive as a bottle from Brown Thomas costs €112 per 100 ml.

One of my new go-to fragrances. I really like how close it is to Jo Malone Wood Sea & Salt Cologne. The branding is simple and clean and lets the fragrance speak for itself. What We’re looking for in Wood Sage & Sea Salt The middle note consists of nothing but geranium- allowing its green and herby component to take over the tier, made mild only by its own powdery nature.The collection was inspired by the unique character and quality of British beaches, which is why Tim Walker photographed the advertising campaign in Northumberland, England. Alternative Driftwood cologne is a cheaper alternative to the Jo Malone Sea Salt & Wood Sage cologne, providing similar notes at a lower cost. However, you can’t go wrong with any Jo Malone fragrance! Oil Perfumery Wood Sage & Sea Salt Inspired by the beaches of Britain, the fragrance strives to capture the light sea air mixed with mineral sand and herbal elements. When I tried this perfume for the first time, I was reminded of a soft spring or summer morning where a light wind from the ocean was refreshing and calm. To me, it’s the perfect light, cozy fragrance that I can wear around the house or out with my friends. However, if you’re a hardcore fan of Jo Malone and just don’t want to trade. I’d suggest trying out a smaller bottle of Jenny Glow and keeping it for when you’re between bottles. The base of the fragrance takes the hardiest ingredients, with the damp muskiness of its woody notes, the salty, marine feel of the rare ambergris, and the unmistakable sweetness of oud.
