For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Yeah it will recieve latest updates but that too a bit late but its is simply not future proof as it is not having 4g lte and 3gb of RAM . It is very poor in terms of processor although it is an octa core processor but it is not a snapdragon processor . The snapdragons are reserved for foreign countries as they have 4g . Its having the samsung's latest touchwiz ui and latest gestures . If u have that money u can definitely buy it . The worst part for gamers is that it has a MALI gpu which is outdated

The Galaxy S5 has a 5.1in display, meaning Samsung has increased the screen size of its flagship smartphone for the fourth time in a row. It might only be slightly larger than the Galaxy S4’s 4.99in screen, but because both use the same 1,920×1,080 Full HD resolution it means the newer phone actually has a lower pixel density: 432ppi versus the S4’s 441. In practice, however, there’s no visible reduction in sharpness or clarity, and it’s still impossible to see individual pixels with the naked eye. No, is the short answer. As you’ll see from Katherine’s original review below, the S5 Mini was significantly less powerful than the phone it was based on. Nearly three generations of phone later, that gap is more insurmountable now than it ever was. The Galaxy S5 is best seen as a refinement of the Galaxy S4, as both share a very similar outward appearance.
