About this deal

I picked A Lost Lady by Willa Cather , which is one of the books I found at the big Colchester Charity Book Sale in October. We are so glad that you felt the cottage was a home from home and is a great place to get away from it all. The cottage was excellent , was homely and very cosy, all facilities were available , and bigger than expected with lovely conservatory to relax and watch the lovely garden and its various bird life , and a visit by the friendly chickens ,and a cosy living room also a library . Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed, TV, vaulted ceiling and en-suite with shower cubicle, toilet and heated towel rail. Just one comment, which I really don’t want to sound like a criticism, but perhaps a few more cleaning products could be left, to assist the end of stay cleaning.

I have been coming up to Walberswick since childhood, and then with my late husband and our children and since then grandchildren too. In regards to the property being 'freezing', the heating is on a timer that comes on twice a day for a substantial amount of time to heat up the whole property. There were a couple of places we thought she might try to sneak through but they were easily blocked, giving us great peace of mind.We had a trip out on our last night to The Sandy Cove Hotel in Ilfracombe which has stunning views and has 2 restaurants. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Lane End Cottage and we look forward to seeing you both again in the future. The cottage is extremely comfortable and well appointed and the hosts Angela and Steve were very friendly and welcoming. Switch on the TV and settle on one of the sofas for a film night or crack open some family board games at the four-seater dining table.

Beautiful cottage in gorgeous surroundings, it was spotlessly clean and was a cosy home from home, we enjoyed lighting the fire each evening and feeding the birds in the garden.Tranquil, rural setting with beautiful views and lovely walks but a reasonable level of fitness is needed to cope with the very hilly landscape. Garden furniture was unsafe - 2 cracked plastic chairs and a very rickety and rotting table/bench set, a bit of which broke off when sat on 4. Completely renovated throughout in 2022 the property benefits from beautiful views over the surrounding countryside, and also has lovely gardens to the rear. We had a wonderful week at Lane End, the house was great for our family, everything we needed for self catering and evenings in. Great local pubs within walking distance - if you want good food and a great atmosphere try the Old Village Inn on the high street!

Nice large 4 bed house in a great location, one beach down one road and another down the other road. The interior is dotted with delightful floral features to bring a real homely feel; kick back and relax in a number of welcoming spots, including a warming sitting room dominated by an attractive stone fireplace with a woodburner, a smaller reading room for some quieter downtime and a light-filled conservatory looking out over the gardens. This means, if you would like to modify or cancel your booking due to Covid-19, our normal terms and conditions now apply.I hope the owners felt that we had left the house clean and tidy, as I spent the day making sure I left it as we found it. Romantics will love the spacious master bedroom with vaulted ceiling and kingsize bed, an en-suite is at hand with a double shower cubicle. This holiday cottage is a rare find, a true country residence superbly decorated throughout, offering self-catering accommodation for five to six people with great views of the surrounding mountains. Many thanks to Angela and Steve for making us feel so welcome again, it felt like meeting up with old friends! A quaint base for a family of six's self-catering break in this part of Yorkshire, 2 Lane Cottages enjoys the best of both worlds, being a stone's throw away from the area's gorgeous countryside, whilst also being within reach of the coast. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. Very quiet and peaceful but with easy access for sight seeing and visiting surrounding beauty spots. There are also opportunities for golfers as there is a course just outside the village and horse riding facilities are also available nearby. There is a lovely conservatory, warm, with view's of the garden and all its feathered friends that visit, tits, chaffinch, magpies, black caps, nuthatch, woodpeckers, pheasant and the home kept chicken's.
