About this deal

The only negative I can say about Artie 3000 is that it needed calibrating out of the box plus a couple of times since, because even though all other requirements such as a level surface was being met, it was not drawing the correct distance and the angles were not to the correct degree.

Just unscrew the flap on the back of Artie, install the batteries and screw the flap back into place. Funding may be available to help pay for this product through grants available to families and organisations. Then on top of that I had to wait almost a week and a half and 2 messages to seller to get it after the date it should’ve been here. Quick and Easy to Set Up– I literally opened the box, popped in some AA batteries, followed some short instructions to allow me to programme him from our tablet (so much easier than it sounds, I promise! There are 4 modes to play with Artie; pre-programmed shapes, games, art for colouring and freeform coding.

Thanks to inbuilt wifi it connected without any issues and we could access the Artie interface to code and draw with him. We don't think much could go wrong with Artie besides maybe getting permanent marker on your kitchen table.

Artie has 360 degree movement so he can move backwards, forwards and can turn and spin in any direction. There’s a setup guide included with Artie, which is great for someone who is confident with computers. Start coding in minutes with the Remote Control function, included pre-programmed codes, easy-to-follow instruction guide, and built-in tutorials. Please note Artie requires 4 AA batteries (not included) and a tablet or computer to connect Artie to.Due to the fact that there are no USB ports on a Chrome Book, you would need to update Artie 3000 on another device. Building on the enormous success of Botley The Coding Robot in 2018, Learning Resources have introduced Artie 3000™ in 2019. The product’s unique bridging of technology and coding with art and design saw Artie noted as one of the most innovative products at this year’s London Toy Fair, scooping a prestigious London Toy Fair Hero Award at the event.

Meet Artie Max™ and Artie 3000™ the coding drawing robots that help children learn to code using real coding languages Blockly, Snap! All told, we love our Artie 3000 Drawing and Coding Robot, and I can see him getting lots of love over the Easter Holidays! With 360-degree movement – tell Artie to turn right or left, forward or backward or spin in any direction. Not only does STEM learning give the boys a worthwhile learning experience and excellent foundation for the future but it helps make learning fun. Artie is brilliant for developing a whole array of skills from creativity, basic maths, geometry to programming. As well as the fact sheets Artie also comes with 4 washable coloured pens in blue, green, pink and purple colours.
