About this deal

Experience 360° Spatial Audio with our free Sonar Software for total immersion (other formats, including Tempest 3D on the PS5, are also supported). 2. ComfortMAX System Imagine a world where you are listening to a podcast on your way home, then you want switch to Fortnite and teamchat, but you don’t want to miss the end of the podcast. With Dual Wireless, it’s as easy as simply pressing a button and connecting to your PC or console, and then you can hear both devices at once. Revolutionary right? The headset features support for 360 spatial audio, which makes in-game listening far more immersive and captivating. The Arctis Nova 7P is also compatible with the PS5’s Tempest 3D Audio. We've added a comparison between the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7X Wireless and the Astro A30 Wireless in the Non-Bluetooth Wireless box. Being a higher-end SteelSeries headset, the performance is very impressive. It’s simple to connect to both PC and PS5 with the included USB dongle. The sound profile is incredibly clear, and even at low volume levels, you are able to hear even the most subtle sound effects or noises within a game. It’ll impress users who love a strong bass profile, too.

The Nova Pro has a sleek design with a clever bidirectional, noise-canceling microphone that slides into the left earcup, which comes in handy when using the Nova Pro has a traditional pair of Bluetooth headphones. The synthetic leather earcups are ultra-soft, making it comfortable to wear for hours on end. An adjustable support band keeps the pressure off your head and allows you to find just the right fit for you. The steel headband provides a secure fit while also giving you peace of mind that the headset is built to last. ComfortMax System ensures a comfy wear over long hours of use with height-adjustable rotating earcups, flexible suspension band and pivoting hangers One complaint I would have is how close the Bluetooth and Power buttons are, which sometimes results in me pressing the wrong thing when trying to turn the headset on and wondering why it's taking so long to connect. For a premium headset, it’s a fairly basic setup, and it would’ve been nice to be able to access EQ presets on the device itself. The Arctis 7 and 7+ feature a revolutionary retractable mic design, so when you want to play solo, or aren’t interested in team chat, you can simply stow it neatly away. The Nova 7 takes this to the next level, bringing a microphone which now completely retracts into the headset when not being used for a super sleek design, and more on-the-go convenience if you want to listen to your music on the daily commute when a mic isn’t needed. 6. Improved batteryReach almighty audio levels with the Nova Pro Acoustic System and Premium High Fidelity Drivers enhanced with Sonar Software Overall quality seems good but obviously this will have to be tested over time. The headsets have a metal top band and plastic with rubber touch elsewhere. No issues whatsoever so far and they feel like a 'premium' headset visually as well as in the hand. Added bonus for their 'not obviously a gaming headset look', as it means I'd be more than happy to use these away from just a gaming context. Of course, a headset is only as good as its sound quality, and the Arctis Nova 7P is no slouch. Featuring 360-degree spatial audio and Tempest 3D Audio support on PS5, you’ll be able to make full use of the console’s impressive audio technology. It runs for a solid 38 hours of battery life. Battery life is an essential consideration when it comes to the best wireless gaming headsets since you don't want to have to worry about charging mid-match, and you’re free to use the headset for hours on end with no tether to a charging cable. As someone who is constantly forgetting to charge their tech, the battery life of the Arctis Nova 7P was a relief when I was jumping in and out of multiplayer games and Discord calls and simply not having to deal with a depleting battery light or audio signifier.

If you’re hoping to use this for anything else, it also comes with a 3.5mm port for wired connectivity. In essence, you can connect the Nova 7 Wireless to just about anything, though if you want wireless connectivity to an Xbox, you need to get the Nova 7x instead. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P is an excellent headset that offers much more than just great sound quality. You’ll be treated to a noise-canceling microphone that can fully retract into the earcup when not in use, plush earcups that stay comfortable during extended play sessions, and the ComfortMax System--which includes the lightweight steel headband, four points of adjustment, and soft materials throughout the headset that give it a premium feel.Speaking of features... Simultaneous Bluetooth!! It works flawlessly on all platforms. The Nova 7X works wirelessly on Xbox, PS, PC, and Switch. The Nova 7 and 7P work on everything but the Xbox (although you can use the aux cord for that at the sacrifice of convenience and sound quality). The Nova 7P changes out the game/chat mix wheel for mic side tone adjustment. The 7X and PC versions can still adjust side tone, but it needs to be done via SteelSeries GG engine. Those settings save to the headset and will be preserved when using it on console. The following test groups have been updated following TB 1.6: Wired Connection, Bluetooth Connection, and Wireless Connection (Dongle). There have also been text changes made throughout the review, including to the usages and product comparisons to match these results. Users have reported connectivity issues like stuttering that affects audio quality and you can find more information on this in our Sound Profile test. We have also tested GG software's compatibility with consoles and you can read more about this in App Support. Microphone quality is good. My friends in party chat noticed I sounded 'like I was on the radio', as they put it, when I first spoke to them. A dedicated mic will always win out, but they're really good for a built-in option. Bonus points for the fact that the mic also completely folds away too - retracting into the left cup.
