The CH1 Super Chorus is a classic that was first released in 1989 and has continued to be in production since. So many well-known musicians use it and amateurs try to copy their sound by using their gear. It’s best to play around with the controls to get familiar with what they can do and how you can produce certain effects. The four knobs include the effects level, rate, depth, and EQ. If you want to add more vibration, then turn the rate to the right. If you want the modulation to be more obvious, then increase the depth. Level is for volume control while the EQ is able to reduce treble. This is a fully analog chorus pedal with a clear pleasing sound and easy to use features. Apart from its amazing stereo chorus effect, one thing that really sets the Boss CE-5 Chorus pedal apart from the competition is its easy to use yet powerful controls. The real gem of the CE-5 Chorus pedal is its stereo output. This way the pedal can be connected to two separate amps, which adds even more dimension to an already spatial chorus. It will have different depths depending on the space between the speakers. This unit can easily shift between subtle and extreme tones, and that is why it is so versatile. The filter control opens up a whole new scope of possibilities and lets you produce everything that your heart dictates. Oh, I almost forgot, CE-5 Chorus Ensemble will give you fantastic results when paired with other effects pedals. It can have a leading role in the chain or be an addition to others. Either way, it sounds amazing! ConclusionWe also did a "flashing rate mod."The LED flashes in time with whatever rate you set for the pedal. When you turn up the rate, the LED flashes faster. When you turn the rate down, the LED flashes slower. This is a neat mod, but not just because it looks cool (it does look cool). This mod allows you to see the rate as well as hear it. When you have a gig you can set the rate without playing a sound. Two band filters allow you to control the bass and treble frequencies individually, so you can create a wide range of great sounding chorus effects.

For many, the centrepiece of the Boss Chorus Ensemble line is the Boss CE-2 – an iconic pedal which, in some people’s eyes, set the bar for what a chorus pedal should be. That’s all well and good, but the CE-2 was discontinued in 1982, and although the CE-2w seeks to recreate that iconic sound, it’s far from the only option on the table. The main distinction between the Boss CE-5 and the CE-2w is that the CE-5 is digital whereas the CE-2w is analogue. Now, the Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble pedal reflects the constant innovation, design and development that goes into the Boss compact effect pedals, with its powerful and convenient controls. you might be the only one that actually knows its there but its still there, enhancing the the colour of your sound. A chorus pedalrepeats what you playat very close intervals,to create the illusion ofmultiple guitars playing at once. When you increase the depth, it increases the intensity of the effect, making it sound as if there are more of the same instrument. When you adjust the rate (or delay time) it simply reduces and stretches the time between repeats. Renowned Boss build qualityThe Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble pedal is the ultimate stereo chorus pedal from Boss, with a wide frequency range and great control options. In terms of price, none of these two models can claim to be the cheapest or the most expensive in the market. There are certainly more low-cost options in the market if all you want is the effect and not the guitar pedal controls. Some of them only have one, two, or three knobs. You could also find the more serious options with even more controls and higher price tags. Some have five or more knobs and other control options to truly customize the output. Development Tools. If the Software includes development tools, such as scripting tools, APIs or sample scripts (collectively “Development Tools”), and unless there is a separate agreement between You and Roland or Roland for the Development Tools, You may use such Development Tools to create new scripts and code for the purpose of customizing Your use of the Software (within the parameters set forth in this EULA and in the Development Tools themselves) and for no other purpose.

With great sounding chorus, stereo outputs and great controls allowing you to create a wide range of chorus sounds, the Boss CE-5 Chorus Ensemble is the ultimate chorus pedal when it comes to Boss compact effects pedals. One of the great things about this pedal is its great chorus circuitry that has a direct lineage from Boss’s first chorus pedal, the legendary Boss CE-1. I use the CE-5 mainly on my bass pedalboard. it gives that nice shimmer without taking over the sound. The reason this works as a bass chorus particularly well is the filter option to limit the effect to the highs (or the lows if you'd so prefer, but on a bass the lows become quite muddy). It makes those runs to the upper register of your bass shine and ring out nicely, all in all it can be very subtle - Governing Law and Jurisdiction. If You obtained the Software directly from Roland, then the governing law and jurisdiction of the state of California apply without regard to its conflicts of law provisions. This Section 11.4 does not deprive You of the protection afforded to You by the provisions of mandatory consumer protections laws that are applicable to You, nor does it prevent you from seeking remedies or enforcing your rights as a consumer under such laws.

Transferability. You may transfer the Software on a permanent basis as part of the sale or transfer of the hardware system on which the Software is loaded, provided that You retain no copies of any version of the Software. The easiest way to determine which version you have is to use the serial number. If the second letter/first number combination is earlier than P1, you have the analog type. These figures will vary depending on the actual conditions of use. Accessories Leaflet ("USING THE UNIT SAFELY,""IMPORTANT NOTES," and "Information")
