A Feb. 25 referendum has been scheduled to consider the possibility of raising city property taxes.

Trussville Schools Superintendent Pattie Neill has said the schools would eliminate the need for portable classrooms and improve traffic conditions in Trussville. The quality of education, Neill has said, would also improve with smaller class sizes.
