Four of the robberies occurred in a three-hour period early Wednesday in Antrim and Quincy townships, state police said.
The suspect entered the homes between 1:17 and 4:16 a.m. by force or through an unlocked door and demanded money from the victims. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and also stole jewelry in one of the robberies, state police said.

Another similar robbery of an 85-year-old woman in Washington Township may also be linked to the crimes, state police said.
State police are also in the midst of investigating in which the victim was run into the median and shot by another person.
The suspect in the homeinvasionrobberies is described as white and has a small to medium build. He is between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-7.
